To reduce risk Sorella Skin & Health Clinic takes very seriously the health and safety guidelines to disinfection and sterilisation. Where possible we take initiative into undertaking further studies and education. This ensures we have the most recent and updated knowledge in order to provide the best care for our clients. We use where possible disposable equipment and dispose of any exposure of blood and bodily fluid safely. Furthermore we follow the Infection prevention and control guidelines set out for hair, beauty, tattooing and skin penetration industries (2019) which aims to comply with requirements that are following the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (the Act) and Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019.
Customised Facial:
This treatment provides a skin analysis and is perfect for first treatment. Cosmeceutical skin care will assist with your skin concerns. Your skin therapist will ensure the experience is calming and relaxing in its nature whilst still being a results driven treatment.
LED THEARPY:
The Pearl Xen LED is great as both standalone and adjunct to other therapies.
It uses clinically proven wavelengths of light delivered at safe and therapeutic doses to treat a wide range of conditions. These wavelengths of light stimulate the mitochondria in cells within the dermis, reducing oxidative stress and boosting blood circulation while strengthening cells and reducing inflammation. LED therapy can help boost collagen production in the skin, significantly improving skin health and giving a younger appearance to the skin. Its cell healing properties make it the perfect complement to other aesthetic treatments. It yields effective results, has no side effects on the skin, and requires no recovery period. High Frequency/ Dermal Infusion Treatment:
This is a procedure that uses a device to promote rejuvenation and healing in the skin as well as allowing a more comfortable form of extractions.

Chemical Peel:

Electrolysis / Diathermy:
Electrolysis for hair removal has seen a real resurgence as it is the only non-discriminatory method of hair removal that can permanently remove hair as well as treating every colour of hair and skin.
𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐘: - What is it? It uses the Re frequency of 4Mhz to travel through a fine prob needle causing thermal damage to the veins. The thermal damage causes 70 degrees temp inside treated vessel. This sends plasma proteins to coagulate and parietal structure is then destroyed. Microdermabrasion:
This is a cosmeceutical procedure that uses a medical - grade device to mechanically exfoliate the skin.This provides structure to rebuilding collagen and regeneration in the skin. Comfortel diamond’s system helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, clogged pores and improve hyper pigmentation through exfoliation of the skin’s outermost layer.
Dermaplaning:
Dermaplaning is an effective and safe exfoliation procedure. We use a sterile surgical scalpel to shave the surface of the skin. This allows the removal of excess dead skin and vellus hairs. The tool is held at a 45 degree angle and is brushed along the skin to remove the hair and debris (dead skin cells). The procedure is only performed on the face and can create deeper penetration of active ingredients to boost treatment results. The procedure can make your skin look and feel smoother in complexion and can also reduces the appearance of acne scars.
Skin Needling:
This is a cosmeceutical procedure that uses a medical - grade device that is minimally invasive. Micro-needling is a form of collagen induction therapy (CIT) that will improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, age spots and brown spots, enlarged pores and closed comedones, scarring including non raised surgery scars, acne scars, stretch marks, dull-looking skin complexion, uneven skin tone and texture, melasma and other skin concerns.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL:
The laser emits light through the skin that can scatter or transmit. The aim is for the light to absorb through the target chromophore, our hair follicle. This energy of light converts into heat and destroys the selected tissue.
IPL and SHR mode is a form of hair reduction for FITZ 1-1V of skin.
IPL Skin Rejuvenation:
This is intense pulse light of non coherent light that emitts between 500-1200nm wavelength.
The conversion of energy to heat in the skin allows absorption to the targeted chromophore i.e pigment where we can create an upward transfer of melanin to surface and be elimnated.
This treatment also assists with photorejuvenation for aging concerns as it contactures the collagen fibres through the process of slow bulk heating conversion into the skin. This then begins the process of protein growth and collagen/ elastin renewl improving appearenve of rhytids in skin.
CARBON PEEL:
Carbon solution is massaged onto the skin to penetrate and absorb into pilosebaceous filaments units. This heats up and attracts the laser as the target chromophore. It begins by initially heating carbon particles. The long pulse laser attracts and absorbs all particles, exfoliating stratum corneum.
This treatment targets uneven skin texture, congestion and acne prone skin, clogged pores and more!
LASER TONING:
A long pulsed laser placed in quasi mode is made to bulk heat the skin via a low fluence. Regarding pigment conditions such as melasma, subselective photo thermolysis destroys melanosomes and melanin granules within the melanocyte and keratinocyte without causing complete cell death. Through multiple passes and bulk heating of the skin, the melanosomes can be destroyed without compromising the nuclei in the cell.
This treatment assists with skin conditions such as acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, pre mature aging and more!
Non - Ablative Fractional Laser:
This laser forms micro treatment zones to emitt laser via theses columns formed to destruct tissue fractionnaly. This allows the healthy surrounding tissue to rebuild and begin the cell renewl process. These colums form MEND which is where necrotic tissue is elinated and transferred upward to surface. This laser is able to travel to quite deep deoths to the dermis of skin.
Hence it is a chosen treatment for aging concerns, acne box and rolling atrophic scars, post surgical scars and more!
TATTOO REMOVAL:
The DPL protege machine has a 1064nm ND:YAG Q-switch setting with nanosecond technology.
What does this mean?
The use of soundwaves follows with light absorption to attract the ink in the tattoo. This allows the ink to be fragmented and seperated from intracelluar lamelle organelles. The process is known as phagocytosis. From here your macrophages are able to engluf the ink and elimnate in from the body via your lymphatic system.
Overtime this will gradually breakdown the tattoo and form fading and lighting of it.
